1. Going the Distance
10:00 P.M. on a Saturday night, the air is crisp and new as Sebastian and Leslie drive down the street with the windows down. They are on their way to meet a new couple that they have been engaging with on the internet for months. Having high expectations, they have chosen a specific club to meet at. They finally arrive at their final destination and are dressed to impress. Sebastian finds a parking spot near the club and they casually get out of the car. He grabs Leslie’s hand and tells her, “You look beautiful tonight. I am proud to be with you.”
“Thanks.” she replies. “You look pretty hot yourself. Let’s go see what we are in for tonight,” Leslie says as she giggles.
After standing in line for 15 minutes they finally make their way into the club, ready for some action. “Look,” says Leslie, “drink specials tonight till 11:00, and they are only a dollar for the next 45 minutes.”
“Great,” says Sebastian as he clears a way for them to get to the bar. “What are you going to drink?” he asks his wife.
“Long Island,” she replies, “might as well make it a good night,” she whispers to him as they stand there waiting for the drinks to be poured. “What did you order, babe?”
“Same thing,” he replies. “It looks like we are both in for a good night.” They laugh as they toast to the beginning of what they hope to be an invigorating night.
Scoping the crowd as they look for a seat, they are hope they can catch a sneak peak of this sexy couple they had both anticipated. After a few moments of watching people dance Sebastian receives a phone call. The other couple have arrived at the club and want to know where they should meet, considering this club is so packed.
Their anxiety builds up as they anxiously walk toward the front of the club where they are to meet. Finally, a glimpse of what they were looking to find turns out to be a pleasant surprise. Sebastian reaches out to shake Anthony’s hand. “Nice to finally meet you,” he says as he places his hand on Leslie’s lower back and introduces her to Anthony.
“Great to meet you,” Anthony says with a devilish grin. “This is my wife Monica.”
Leslie goes in for a hug. As she is immersed in Monica’s sexy smell, she says, “It’s nice to meet you.”
“Likewise,” says Monica. “This must be Sebastian.” She shakes his hand.
“Yes,” he replies. “Let’s go find a place to sit down so we can chat a little bit.”
As they find a little round table on the edge of the dance floor, they try to make themselves as comfortable as they can. With the chemistry in place there seems to be a sexual tension in the air that is overtaking each one of them.
