NON-RENEWABLE ENERGY

A s the number of people grows worldwide, we need more and more energy. We need it to power our homes, our transportation, and our factories. Most of the energy that we get today is from fuel that comes from deep in the Earth. For example, coal is a fossil fuel. Fossil fuels are non-renewable energy sources.

W e mine coal from under the Earth’s surface, but once we take it out of the Earth, it’s gone forever. It took millions of years for the coal to form and there’s no way that we can create it ourselves.
