I n this book, we’re going to talk about your five senses and do some experiments. So, let’s get right to it!
Our senses help us to experience the world that surrounds us. There are five different ways we take in information from our bodies.
• We smell cinnamon rolls using our noses.
• We taste spicy chili using our tongues and taste buds.

• We touch a fuzzy blanket using the touch receptors in our skin.
• We hear a jazz piano using our ears.
• We see a beautiful sunset using our eyes.
You can do some simple experiments at home or at school to research your senses. Whenever you’re doing experiments make sure there is an adult there to supervise and help you out so you’ll be safe.
