PREFACE Islam is the last divine religion. The holy book of Islam is theHoly Quran,whose revelation to Prophet Muhammad began in A. D. 610 at Makkah, now a large city in Saudi Arabia. The revelation of theHoly Quranwent on for twenty-three years until the death of Prophet Muhammad at the age of sixty-three. TheHoly Quranis considered to be the first source of Islam. Prophet Muhammad is the last prophet sent by God; no prophet will come after him. TheHoly Quranis the last revealed book; no book will be revealed after it.
