S ports equipment, also referred to as sporting goods, is any type of object used for exercise or sport. In this book, we will be discussing the various types of equipment used for various sports.
Balls
B alls are usually what the sport needs and revolves around. While most sports balls are round, they can also be in the form of a prolate spheroid such as a rugby ball or an American football.
Different Balls used in sports
O ften the sports are named for the ball that is used for the sport, such as an American football, football, basketball, baseball, to name only a few.
Goals
I n various games, there are goals placed at opposite ends of a playing field. In games such as hockey or football, the object of the game is to pass the puck or ball between the goals, while in games such as rugby, the ball has to pass over the crossbar.
