Foreword
It is a great pleasure to write the foreword for ‘The Everton Quiz Book’ compiled by Chris Cowlin and Kevin Snelgrove.
As an Evertonian it was a fantastic feeling the day I signed for the club I loved in 1991. I was signed by Howard Kendall, the most successful manager in the history of the club.
I did not score many goals but I will never forget the winning goal that I scored against Liverpool in the Merseyside Derby in 1993. I was lucky enough to play with so many world class players notably Neville Southall, Dave Watson, Peter Beardsley and Tony Cottee. I will never forget being in the company of Everton Legends past and present; Alan Ball, Brian Labone, Colin Harvey and Duncan Ferguson.
Everton has a tremendous history and tradition and this fun quiz book is full of facts to be enjoyed by the whole family. I hope you all enjoy the book. Nil Satis nisi optimum... Nothing but the best!
Mark Ward, Everton Football Club (1991-1994)
