Chapter One It was a new session, newbies and oldies intermingled, admission, and promotion razzmatazz. The heat-induced perspiration reels a medley of good and bad perfumes cum body odours. Students cluster in front of the glassy notice board striving to see their names as admitted, promoted, to repeat, or advised to withdraw from Lolita Maritime and Fashion Institute, Abule, Lagos state, Nigeria. The administration area was jam-packed by oldies and newbies jostling for settlement. Elohor, Amara, Atinuke, and Vatos their male bestie, were grossly engrossed in searching for their names on the promotion list, top right of the notice board. Atinukes hysterical scream of joy at sighting her names drew the gaze of the many anxious to see their names. Amara on sighting her name followed suit, mouthing Jesus! Jesus! Thank you, thank you, I made it, I made it. The four friends left rejoicing and thanking God that they made it to their final year. Lolita Maritime and Fashion Institute is a renowned school located on the outskirts of Abule, Lagos state Nigeria. The school occupies a massive expanse of land on which was structured ten gigantic three-storey buildings; strategized to constitute the administrative building, lecture halls, accommodation for the teeming students, and amusement cum refreshment centres where
