Meuna is a young girl from a good family with a bright future ahead. No one (not even her) suspects that, following an online encounter orchestrated by a Machiavellian young man, she will fall into a spiral of misadventures that will make her want to end her life. Between love, moral and sexual abuse, disillusionment and hope, Meuna's story reveals the dark side of social networking. Indeed, Meuna will attempt to take her own life. PROLOGUE “Whathappened, Meuna? Say something!” It’sbeen the same refrain for days now, still the same.Doesn’t her father understand her?All Meuna wishes, is to leave and never return. Go somewhere far, where there’s no pain, where darkness is dispelled, where sorrow and despair don’t exist.Can anyone understand this? Can this really be comprehended? Nobody can understand this burden, this huge secret that she kept for so long, this desire to die that she had nurtured for months. Who can understand? She had crossed the line. This wasn’t the plan! She knows things weren’t supposed to go this way. Is this heaven or hell? How do we fight this pain that’s suffocating her? How do we shut down this little voice in her, fighting to be free. “Madam, what my daughter did is shocking and saddens my wife, family and me. It is normal we question her to understand better. What happened? Where did I go wrong as a father? Isn’t it normal that I get answers to these questions?”“Sir, I getyour point. Butyou won’t get answers by harassing her. She felt a glimpse of pity at the scene between this girl and the father. Often times we tend to be passive about issues that do not directly affect us, it’s easier to give advice or lessons. For over ten years of experience, this was the first thing she encountered such a case. She was still staring at her patient, because she was oblivious of the situation.”Tears kept rolling down from Meuna’s beautiful eyes, blurring her vision. She turned, facing the wall. “Oh! Can they just stop all this noise, all Ineed is rest, eternal rest, she thought?”Meuna was beautiful, the harmonious nature of her facial features is so unique, they looked like the canvas of gifted artist, perfect skin tone, not too dark, not too fair. She looks like these children that could be identified at first sight as rich, because sSuch a smooth skin needed expensive products to maintain, her father’s big car and fancy clothes could testify. Approximately a hundred and sixty-five centimetres tall with sixty kilograms, nicely shaped and horizontally gifted, just as an African woman should.
