Dedication
I would like to dedicate my novel to my children: Shakur, Kaniah and Kalonji, as they are my inspiration to be the best at my abilities and to never give up. I’ve been taught in having faith the Almighty God will provide, which I try to show them every day.

Chapter 1 Beginning
Sounds of heavy panting and groans bellow. More sounds of someone gasping for breath and trying to speak, murmuring…
“F–F–F–F… F–FOR… FORGIVE ME.”
“I BEG YOU… LORD GOD ALMIGHTY… NO MORE… PLEA…!”
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”
As multiple exhausted voices echo throughout the unknown. A labyrinth of sweat, burning flesh and torture. Sweating naked bodies hanging by large rusting chains, rest against crumbling walls within an over-twining cave. Low-pitch staggering chants as exhausted souls’ wails fill the air, calling for help, escalating all around for all to hear. Faint dripping sounds splash and escalate, like boulders dropping, hitting the ground like if in slow motion. Splattering far as the eye can see.
“TT… TTTWO YEARS, MY LORD, TWO YEARS I’VE SUFFERED. FORGIVENESS FATHER… LORD, GOD ALMIGHTY! FORGIVE MY SINS AND RELEASE ME! TAKE ME AWAY FROM THIS TORTURE, I BEG YOU. I’M… SO… SORRY… SORA…!” as the individual bows his head in agony and cries painfully in shame.
Repeated echoing calls of sorrow, like a broken record from sinner’s anguish, they all cry aloud. So many souls trying to rid themselves from torment. A cycle of wails from the broken, wishing that they’d lived their lives differently. On Earth, they lived like royalty, not wanting to believe that there was more to life after death. And now, within the cave of hell, remorse and terror! The sounds of blood splattering against the walls and floors continued from torturer’s hands. While they tore skin from bones, ripped eyes from sockets, and cooked many inside a cramped oven or dipped into a lake of lava. Ligaments sawed off with careful precision were but some of the careful techniques used in the underworld, inflicted by guards to teach treacherous souls the act of never-ending suffering. Then like clockwork, all wounds healed like magic by the next day. Enabling the cycle of torment as though it was the first time, every time again.
Inside the pitted cave, the heat was at a constant level of boiling point, with a lingering smell of rotten cooked meat. Blood flicked and gushed everywhere. The ground paved with screws, broken glass and blades. Everything in this underworld was designed to despondent.
No sleeping or resting in hell, only a replay of sorrow for the unfortunate souls that were learning from their past sins.
Tormenting sounds of cries, prayers and pleads for forgiveness. The music of the underworld you could hear amongst the darkness. Flamed torches of blue lighted the way throughout this place, which added to the heat. Like a damaged sweat-room that could kill from suffocation. But as you’re already dead in hell, agony was forever lasting.
Sin is an unforgiving trait inside the unfortunate realm of hell. But how does one get to this point of no return you might wonder.
From continuing to do wrong and to live a life without any regrets is the pathway to such places.
For the gateway to the darkness is vast, for we all sin. It’s human nature as there are so many different types. Greed, gluttony, sloth, lust, wrath, envy and pride are all sins. But to repent is the ticket to avoid such gloomy miseries. For kindness, temperance, charity, chastity, humility, diligence and patience are all ways to cure and lead you to the righteous path of happiness.
The world is full of darkness and light, the route you choose to take is a question of free will. But don’t confuse all areas of darkness for evil. A single candle can light up an unlit room, giving hope and comfort.
As in the beginning, when the skies were thought to be only pitch-black… desolate… cold… empty… full of nothingness. Gazing up into space and assuming nothing else existed apart from our Earth. For how were we to know any different, in a time before things were first found. Until a light bulb of questions arouse with the idea of ‘what if?’
Curiosity… is what drives movement, inventions and discoveries.
Past time skies were clearer millenniums ago, with less street lights obstructing our vision. Enabling a better perspective on the world than what we can see in today’s skies, and with only using our naked eye (which isn’t really much).
How glorious it must have been on the day when people first discovered, we weren’t alone.
Discovering that there was an abundant number of stars beyond the eye can see, and much more planets than our mere humble green home we inhabit.
As inquisitive beings, we’re constantly intrigued by the unknown, there remains a desire to be the first rather than the last. Searching and realising that certain stars weren’t stars at all but larger objects. For the word planet means ‘wanderer’ in Greek language.
Stars are like a trail map to new worlds, guiding, directing you to precise locations. If only we knew how to read them. So if we were to imagine and move deeper than ever before. Further through space and time, past every small and large planet we’ve ever come to know. Whooshing by blistering-cold pigments of dark-blue space filled with stars, travelling farther than ever before to discover… there’s still nothing?
With space being like a sea of never-ending stars spread across the universe, how can there still be nothing? The noiseless still atmosphere can be chilling, especially as there is no sound in space. There’s no easy way of knowing what’s travelling towards you. With no molecules to vibrate off as the distance between stars, planets and other objects floating around is too vast. An unsettling silence considering how immense space is, the quiescence could be confused as becoming deaf.
Only the presence of a generous-sized cloud of meteorites itinerant through space, slowly moving and unveiling that we’re not really alone. Then suddenly, bright lights shine and pierce through from the moving collective rocks, covered by mist.
To find not nothing, but a dwarf planet. Almost hidden amongst the clouds and scattered broken pieces of asteroids that hovered, along its atmosphere. The monstrous fog only shadowed one half of the planet. On the other half was a beautiful sight, an aurora of metallic rainbows of swirling pigments. Spiral rays of colours drifting in various directions around this small unknown globe of beauty. A spectacular find while being cleverly concealed in plain sight but never before found
