In the kingdom of Juniper, there was once a gnarled old tree that no one ever went to visit. One day, the tree was tired of being ignored. Since this was a magical tree, he cast a spell on every princess in the land. And with that, they all came running to him, climbed up his branches, and refused to come down. No matter what anyone tried, no one could free the princesses from this curious spell. Of course, this drew crowds of spectators. People came from all over to see these princesses stuck up in the tree branches. And so the tree got his way: at last he was the center of everyone’s attention. He’d even been given a name: he was called the “Princess Tree.”
