Hunger in Hollywood
On a night in March 2012, a huge crowd gathered outside the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, USA. Screaming fans greeted the movie stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson as they arrived on a special black carpet, rather than the usual red carpet, for a moviepremiere.
The real star But the person the crowds wanted to see most was a mother of two from Connecticut, USA, whose imagination had made it all possible. The movie they were so excited about was calledThe Hunger Gamesand the author’s name is Suzanne Collins.

breaking boundaries BOX OFFICE HIT The Hunger Gamesmovie was an instant hit, with worldwide ticket sales of $214.3 million (over £140 million) in its opening weekend. In the United States, the film had the third best opening weekend of all time. It also attracted big audiences in the UK and Australia.
