English 1st Language Grade 5 Proverbs Aproverbis a short saying stating a generaltruth, or a piece ofadviceor wisdom. Example: Absence makes the heart grow fonder. The truth/advice/wisdom here is that when one is separated from loved ones you begin to realisehow much they mean to you. Usually a proverb is very well known because of itspopular useininformal language. The most common role that a proverb plays is toeducate. Most often tossed around as expert advice in conversation, its role is to educate people onwhat might happen if they do something. The animal has been left out of the following proverbs. Choose the correct
animal from the word box below:
