The leading cause of death on Planet Earth is Metabolic Syndrome. Some 40% of all Earthlings now suffer from this condition which covers the gamut of Heart Disease, Cancer, Neurodegeneration, Liver disease, and PCOS. What is worth knowing is that ALL of these and related conditions start with Fatigue, known in scientific circles as "energy deficiency."40% of the Earth's population has a formal clinical diagnosis that their mitochondria cannot make adequate levels of energy.[Cu]re Fatigue is a book devoted to educating the masses and their doctors exactly how and why this is happening. Our mitochondria make energy by a series of enzymes to work synergistically to create ATP, the cellular currency of energy. These mitochondrial enzyme reactions rely on minerals that are easily lost to stress. This book explains these concepts, how these challenges can be overcome and introduces the reader to a simple, proven Root Cause Protocol that is designed to generate more energy and end fatigue. This book is designed for those seeking the truth in human metabolism and those wanting to take back control of their health. It is one part textbook and one part user's guide based on a decade of research and client experience.

Elizabeth Reed, DC
From the moment that I first met Dr. Liz, and she first spoke about the innate healer , I was captivated to find out exactly who or what this internal healer really was... She knew it intuitively and intimately as a gifted natural healer, but she inspired me to learn about it physiologically, metabolically, and minerally. The world will never know her patience to endure my countless observations, over the course of a decade, about what each day s research findings were, nor her boundless ability to respond with: So what you re trying to say is My hours and hours of relentless research routinely got reduced to a poignant, albeit powerful phrase, but she has consistently supported my quest, and has stimulated my desire to dig ever deeper No one has ever loved me, nor has understood me, the way she does I am forever grateful. She is the intentional, inspirational spark of my life.

It is an absolute fact that this book would still be in my head were it not for the gift-of-gab talents of Larry Trivieri. He is known professionally as a ghostwriter, but I regard him as a friend and he volunteered to serve as my guestwriter. I am deeply indebted to his unique ability to not just understand what I was seeking to say, but he learned to adopt my voice in crafting these many pages- a special talent that deserves greater recognition.
That said, I would be remiss in not also acknowledging the thousands of articles written by hundreds and hundreds of researchers that I have been graced to learn from. I can never identify all of them, but I will certainly highlight those that have had the deepest impact on my thinking and my understanding of how the human body really works, how it responds to stress and ultimately how this stress response affects our ability to make energy: Mildred S. Seelig, MD, MPH; Burton M. and Bella T. Altura, PhDs; Jean Durlach, MD; Frederick A. Kummerow, PhD; Leslie M. Klevay, MD, ScD; Jamie F. Collins, PhD; Marianne Wessling-Resnick, PhD; Mitchell D. Knutson, PhD; Susan S. Percival, PhD; Edward D. Harris, PhD; Guenther Weiss, MD; Joseph R. Prohaska, PhD; Robert R. Crichton, PhD; Paul A. Cobine, PhD; Edward Weinberger, PhD; Jim Moon, PhD; Zena Leah Harris, MD; Weston A. Price, DDS; Gerald W. Deas, MD; Douglas B. Kell, PhD; Garth JS Cooper, DPh, DSc; Maxwell M. Wintrobe, MD, PhD; George E. Cartwright, MD; Svetlana Lutsenko, PhD, to name but a few I am indeed humbled by the discipline and devotion with which these clinicians and researchers discovered and carried forth their message.
As we ll learn in the coming pages, it is not that their research hasn t been published. It simply is NOT being taught. Therein lies the origin of the incomplete information that shapes the thinking of practitioners responsible for healing on planet Earth.
In addition to these dedicated scientists who have guided and inspired me for a decade, I would remiss to not acknowledge and thank the thousands of members of the Magnesium Advocacy Facebook Group, the thousands of clients that I have had the privilege to work with, as well as the hundreds of individuals who have elected to be members of the RCP Community and/or complete the formal training of the RCP Institute to become RCP Consultants. This is an amazing body of talent that I am deeply inspired by and indebted to.
And finally, there are three very special people that deserve special recognition: Patrick Sullivan, Jr. (and the entire Sullivan family, for that matter ), Marilyn J. Hampstead, and most importantly, Kristan Kershaw. The RCP message, movement MAG-nificance has been built on their passion to see these concepts reach a broader audience along with greater and greater levels of clarity and sophistication. Words fail me to express my heartfelt gratitude for all that they have done and continue to do, esp. the RCP Operations Executive, Kristan, for the countless hours of devotion and dedication to this program. Thank you, works, but is hardly sufficient
How to Use This Book
This book is presented in two parts. First, the research basis for understanding how energy is made inside our bodies and how it is lost in our response to stress. The second is more of a practicum for how to apply the principles and process steps that have come to be known as the Root Cause Protocol.
As you might imagine, creating this book has been a labor of love, but it has also been a source of tremendous relief and recovery for those that have had a chance to partake of its unique nutritional focus. Please read this book as though your mind were a parachute - most useful when open! Much of what you know about your health condition, especially your fatigue, is flawed by missing information. For those with a healthy skeptism that Copper is even a factor, or that copper and iron have a profound relationship with each other, I would encourage you to read:
one very short article (Collins and Klevay, 2011) https://academic.oup.com/advances/article/2/6/520/4644536?login=true
and one very long article (Doguer, Ha Collins, 2018) https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30215866/
These will be available on the dedicated website: https://cureyourfatiguebook.com/resources
The breadth, depth and range of footnotes of this latter article are a tour-de-force that should offer even the greatest skeptic sufficient proof that we have been Misled and Misfed about the ancient and dynamic relationship between these two very primal and powerful redox metals.
Absent this key information regarding these key metals, we lack the truth of human physiology. Please use this book as a resource to challenge your belief system, but also as a stimulus to learn to ask better questions, and most importantly, to learn to demand better answers.
Ideally, I would like to see this book not only become a resource for both overcoming your fatigue, but also your dependence on others to heal you. Our ultimate goal, in my humble opinion, is to learn to take control of the process to attain our health freedom, and thereby ensure that we gain our medical independence.
Introduction
by Ben Edwards, MD
The book you are about to read is going to challenge everything you may know or think you know about diet, nutrition, health, and disease. I can say that because the information it contains certainly challenged me when I first encountered it. It ran contrary to everything I previously understood about the real cause of fatigue-the number one health complaint patients make to their doctors-and, more importantly, the real cause of the vast majority of diseases that afflict so many people today. Rather than rejecting this new information, I decided to delve into it further. I m very glad I did, because applying what you are about to learn in this book has enabled me to understand the root cause of my patients health challenges and provided me with the tools I need to most properly address them, leading my patients back to good health.
Let me explain.
I think deep down most physicians know and accept the fact that, when it comes to health and disease, diet and lifestyle are two of the most significant determining factors. That s even what the medic
