Introduction
F or thousands of years, from the time of the ancient Assyrians and Sumerians, the people of the Gulf waged a fierce, relentless struggle to capture precious pearls from the seabed. Their opponent was Abu Derya, the legendary guard of the Kingdom of the Seas, who used all the forces at his disposal to protect his treasures.

This story is one of many that might have taken place on the coast of the Arabian Gulf, over two hundred years ago.
