The prairies and the plains of the Old West is the place where horse riding boots originated. People made these boots out of their basic needs in the past. But now it’s different. Though the pioneers of the boot making were the early settlers, this industry did not flourish as a booming one until the Civil War. Boot making then took a large turn after the civil war of west. You may be wondering how come civil war played a part in the popularity of horse riding footwear. When the confederate and Union troops were fighting each other violently, they were in need of boots. This give a good platform for the development of horse riding shoes industry. In fact, you can even deduce that confederates could not give fight to union troops because of their low quality gears. The Union troops were well equipped with right shoes and this affected the outcome of the whole war. This is the history behind the development of horse riding and military shoes of today.
