Thailand Travel Tips And Customs After living in Bangkok for over a year I have learned many things about the Thai People that I wanted to share with other foreigners living or vacationing here should know. The first thing you have to accept is that eastern culture is different. The people in the east are less emotional and more polite and while they know westerners are different, they often are uncomfortable when we stray from their norms. The things I found to be important are listed below in order of importance: Going to Thailand by air one of many most wellliked strategies for vacationers. Presently, you can find far more than 50 international Airlines serving the capital of Thailand Bangkok. Each year, millions of visitors pass by way of Bangkok. From the several significant European cities, there are lots of nonstop flights going to Bangkok. For flights from London to Bangkok, the journey is about 12 hours. You will find also immediate nonstop flights from Australia along with the United states of america every day to Bangkok. Bangkok Thailand, the Southeast Asia aviation hub is amongst the most frequent destinations with the region. Anyway, Thailand is a world in itself, so be prepared to be amazed and have all your normal 'logical' thinking replaced with ongoing illogical and strange behavior. In other words, Thailand is a completely weird place. Just remember that when you travel to a foreign country, after you get there, you become the foreigner... As mentioned, each part of Thailand has different characteristics and cultures. To the north of Thailand, especially in Chiang Mai, you will find some beautiful mountain landscape with many orchid farms and elephant training camps which would give visitors some unique experience that hard to find elsewhere. Up To Chiang Rai and the Golden Triangle area, travelers can visit the hilltribe people that still have strong native culture and rituals. With the extremely different way of living for these hill tribes, travelers can experience another world on this same planet. In addition in this area, tourists can have a chance to see nice view of Me Kong river, one of the World's greatest rivers originated from Tibet area and divide Thailand territory from Laos. Moreover, if ones wish to enjoy camping in the greenish forests up the hills, this can also be done in the northern region due to plentiful of the green areas that still beautifully exist in this part of the land. Visitors that come to Bangkok never miss the opportunity to encounter Vinmanmek Teak Mansion that is supposed to be the largest teak building in the world. The Royal Elephant Museum and Dusuit Zoo are perfect places to have some learning with fun. The Wat Pho temple near the temple of Emerald Buddha in Bangkok is perhaps the oldest and the largest of all Buddha temples there. The Wat Pho temple is known for its 46 meter long statue of reclining Buddha and the largest collection of Buddhas in the country. A refreshing massage therapy is done at this place that too attracts a lot of people. As you can see, if you choose to travel cheaply to Thailand it is possible. All you have to do is skip the frills, and estimate your costs ahead of time. Many people don't mind giving up a hotel with a swimming pool, or eating delicious food from a food vendor, and it makes there trip something to
remember. Jim Thompson's House  Jim Thompson was a famous American who revived the silk trade in Thailand after World War II. In 1967, while on holiday in the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia, he went for a walk and mysteriously disappeared and no trace of him has ever been found. He built a traditional Thai house on the bank of a canal in Bangkok and that house is now a museum showing his collection of Asian antiques and handicrafts. Thailand travel
