Dear Distance Education Students:
There areare some changes toto thethe enrollment process forfor thethe
Summer and Fall 2008 terms. Please follow the steps in this
tutorial to enroll in Summer and Fall distance courses offered
through K-State’s DDivisionivision ofof ContinuingContinuing Education.Prepare to Enroll
• Be sure that your eID is active. If you have
trouble logging in with your eID, please
contact the IT Help Desk at 1-800-865-6143.
• Contact your academic advisor to discuss
course offerings for Summer and Fall terms.
Be sure to write down the courses you
discuss with your advisor!Summer Enrollment
• If you are not enrolling in the Summer term,
skip to the Fall Enrollment slides.
• If you are enrolling in Summer and Fall
courses, please remember to enroll in
Summer courses first!!
•G o t o http://www.dce.k-state.edu/, click on
“Courses” and then “Summer 2008 and
earlier”Example Enrollment
Let’s say you want to enroll in the following
courses:
• MATH 205, General CalculusCalculus && Linear Algebra
• AGEC 308, Farm and Ranch Management
• ACCTG 231231, Accounting forfor Business OperationsSearch for Summer Courses
Enter a course title
(General Calcullus), a
course number (MATH
205), or a class number
(90821) in the Search
box.
Click on “Advanced
Search” to narrow your
search options.options. SelectSelect
“Summer 2008” for
Term, and click the
“completely accessible
from home” box.The results of our search are
listed belowbelow. The threethree
courses at the end of the list
carry MATH 205 as a
prerequiiisitte, so thth e search
engine included them in the
results.The “Delivered by:” boxes
indicate thethe primary method
by which the courses are
delivered. Point your mouse
cursor over ththe icons to reveal
more information.Note that the Course number
for thisthis firstfirst listing isis
“MATH-S-205”. The “S”
indicates that this course is
offered via didistance ththroughh
K-State - Salina. The highlighted course below
is ofoffered viavia distance
education through the main
K-State campus. Click on
“Read more >>” for more
course information, or on the
course title to proceed.To enroll in this course,
click on the button next to
“Underggraduate” under
the “Credit/Tuition
Options” box. Then click
on “Register Now”
