What do I do if I can’t connect?If your computer does not meet our security requirements it will be allowed onto the network in a quarantined area. This means you can download the security software and updates needed . We will offer you a choice of software and updates to choose from. Click to select the software you want and follow through the install and update instructions. When you have done this you will need to re-run the checking software.Double click on the ‘Bradford DissolvableAgent’ this icon which you’ll see on your computer desktop. We’ll now check your computer again to see if it meets all the security requirements. If you’d like any further assistance call in to the Fix IT Zone in The Murray Library. 1. Turn Airport on

Clickontheairporticoninthemenubarlocatedatthetopofyourscreen.SelectTurnAirportOn

Ifyourairporticonisnotautomaticallydisplayedonthismenubar,youwillneedtoopenSystemPreferences.ClicktoopenNetwork.

ClicktheTurnAirportOnoptionandmakesuretheselectedNetworkNameisUoS.

2. Openyour internet browser

Launchaninternetbrowser.ThisguideusestheSafaribrowser.

Yourbrowsershouldautomaticallyopenawebpagedisplayingtheinformationshownhere.

ClickContinue.

3. Registrationand Checks Workthroughthefollowingscreenstoregisteryourdetailsandcarryoutthesecuritychecks.

Click I Agree. TypeinyourUniversityuserIDandpassword.Doingthiswillstarttheautomaticdownloadofoursecuritycheckingsoftware.

Donotcloseyourbrowser.AfilecalledBradfordDissolvableAgent.zipwillbedownloadedtoyourcomputer.Savethistoyourdesktopareasoit’seasytolocate.

Doubleclickonit

Next,doubleclickonthisicontoallowyourcomputertobecheckedforsecuritysoftware.

4. GettingOnline

Ifyourcomputerpassesthesecuritychecks,yourinternetbrowserscreenwillchangetoshowanumericalcountdown‐pleaseletthecountdownfinishandthenrestartyourbrowser.Youwillnowhavecompletedtheregistrationandcheckingprocess.
