It is the solution for the essential monitoring of the equipment and the controls which otherwise, for economical and
technical reasons, could not be handled by the on-site personnel.

Intervention: Interactive e-Audit – Energy efficiency
Phase 1 (n-Spektor): The deployment of a measurement collection strategy
utilizing our n-Spektor data acquisition platform which includes:
•
Study of the configuration of the existing systems and controls;
•
Identification of measuring points and data collection methods;
•
Specification and supervision of installation and configuration of the
data acquisition.
Phase 2 (n-Study): The energy efficiency n-Study covers:
•
Compilation of energy bills and development of the site energy
consumption profile;
•
Specific measurement of selected equipment and targeted load-
shedding trials;
•
Data analysis and verification of the controls performance and
equipment operation;
•
Identification of initiatives to reduce consumption and/or energy
costs.
Phase 3 (n-Watch): The n-Watch continuous monitoring service includes:
•
Continuous, rigorous and automated analysis of all acquired data;
•
Triggering of alerts on deviations or incidents;
•
Targeted expert analysis, sending of observation reports which include
details and recommendations;
•
Follow-up on tasks and recommendations;
•
Maintaining of a site history.
Example of intervention
Commercial building housing offices for professionals as well as a business centre. Natural gas heating. In October 2007, the
expansion of the business centre led to a total occupancy of the building. SPN initiated an Interactive e-Audit intervention; the
deployment of a measuring strategy (n-Spektor) was done in February 2009, an n-Study followed in April 2009. The
implementation of the n-Study recommendations started in April 2009 resulting in immediate savings of 28% with a return on
investment of less than 6 months.
The n-Watch allowed the identification of further improvements to control strategies and equipment operation, which are being
progressively implemented since September 2009. As of December 2009, these have led an additional savings of 17 %.
