NEWS 08 March►Floride makes a comebackThe Brigitte Bardot exhibition at theEspace Landowskiin Boulogne Billancourt came to a close at the end of March. Since it opened last year on September 29, over 80,000 people have visited the exhibition and followed the incredible career of this international film star, fashion icon, model for many famous brands such as Renault, and more recently passionate representative of the animal rights movement. Renault Histoire & Collection was delighted to meet the organisers’ request to provide a Renault Floride for the event, reuniting the legendary 1960s car with its most famous driver, Brigitte Bardot! A white 1960 hard-top model with red upholstery was exhibited on a podium at the entrance to the exhibition in front of a blown-up photo of Brigitte Bardot driving a similar model.
12 April►Renault 5 Turbo in the limelight!A time, a place, a few VIPs and a many members of the media – all the ingredients th required to celebrate the 30 birthday of the Renault 5 Turbo in suitable style! As part of the birthday celebrations, a Press day was organised by Renault Histoire & Collection at Abbeville’s Stadium Automobile. TV channels such as France 2 and TF1, plus specialist magazinesAuto HebdoandEchappement Classic were all there to report on this event. A full schedule had been prepared for them, including interviews with Patrick Landon, Gérard Larrousse and Yves Legal, some of the VIPs who contributed to the success of the car, and some spectacular on-track demonstrations from famous drivers such as Francois Chatriot, Alain Serpaggi and Jean Ragnotti.
