1 GENERAL REGULATION OF THE KNOWLEDGE CONTROL MODALITIES OF MASTER FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF NANCY AND PAUL VERLAINE UNIVERSITY - METZ Passed by the CEVU dated 09/06/23 and the CA dated 09/07/07 Statutory references: Decree nr 2002-482 dated April 8, 2002 in relation with the application of the higher education European Community construction to the French higher education system. Decree dated April 25, 2002 in relation with the national diploma of master. Those modalities have to be complemented by the specific measures mentioned in the regulation belonging to each mention, offered by the pedagogical team and voted every year during the CEVU and the CA. All of them are an integral part of the enabling. The Master is structured in 4 semesters and 2 levels M1 and M2. It is organized, in the frame of domains, mentions and specializations, in careers of which the constitutive basis unit is the teaching unit. The TU are capitalizable. They are allocated with European credits. Each semester counts for 30 credits. The Master is validated by the getting of 120 European credits. Registration The administrative registration is annual. Art. 5 (decree dated 02/04/25) – Students have to give the proof of: - whether a national diploma giving the grade of bachelor in a domain compatible with the national diploma of master; - or one of the validations provided in the articles L613-3, L613-4 et L613-5 of the education code.

Art.11 (decree dated 02/04/25) – The admission of the student holder of the bachelor, in the same field, is of full rights for the first year of master. Sessions The abilities and the acquisition of knowledge are assessed by a continuous and regular control and/or by a final exam. Two knowledge control sessions are organized for the theoretical teaching in M1 and in M2. The second session takes place whether directly at the end of the semester or in JuneJuly. As far as the branches with a compulsory internship or those with a heavy dissertation are concerned, the board of examiners can also meet in September. Papers condidentiality Papers confidentiality is a rule, except in the case of selective and regular continuous control. The confidentiality is lifted by the pedagogical secretariat under the responsibility of the board of examiners president. European credits The European credits are allocated to the teaching units. There is no allocation at the CE level (Constitutive Element). If applicable, credits can be allocated at the CE level in the frame of international exchanges (ERASMUS…). Any credits allocation to a constitutiven element make the CE capitalizable.
