Regular ER Verbs
The Spanish infinitive, or base form of the verb, is divided into two
parts: the stem and the ending. Many verbs end in
er
.
The verb
comer
(to eat)
can be divided into the stem and base:
com + er
. In order to
conjugate a verb, you must change the ending in order to make the verb
agree with the subject. To conjugate a regular
er
verb, drop the
er
.
ending and add one of the following:

.
