William Fry Solicitors traditionally provisioned its employees with BlackBerrys, however the demand to use other devices, particularly iPhones, grew significantly. In doing so, we needed to ensure that every member of the practice had the same, secure, and compliant access to corporate email and information on their device, and that we were confident that company data was safeguarded." The firm originally considered a sandbox approach to MDM, however during trials, found that this did not protect the native user experience of the device. According to Devitt, feedback from employees on this approach quickly brought home how important it was to retain the native user experience, he said, "users want to experience the iPhone as an iPhone and iPad as iPad, this wasn't possible with the sandboxed approach."
