PEX Network Reveals the Process in the Age of Transformation Special Report

PR Newswire

Ahead of the Process Transformation Week in April, PEX Network surveyed 929 process professionals to find out the drivers for process change in Europe and North America. The Process in the Age of Transformation report compares how those drivers are affecting key industries - Manufacturing, Financial Services & Insurance, Pharmaceuticals, and Logistics & Transportation - in different ways.

Following the release of the report, Nikolai Bozhilov, Executive Chairman at Unimasters Logistics - mentioned:  "A fantastic compilation of different but convergent viewpoints of people passionate about BPM, who send a crystal-clear message that world has changed forever. Really great!"

Key findings include:

  • Government, Chemicals & Pharma industries were less likely to report they had to change processes rapidly than Transport & Logistics, Healthcare and Energy industries where practitioners are feeling that "transformation" urge.
  • Business Growth Plans, Changing Customer Expectations and Competitive Threats are the Top 3 drivers of process change within organisations.
  • MORE companies are taking less than 3 moths to implement changes within their organisations and LESS companies are taking between 3-6 months to implement their own.
  • Over 60% of survey respondents said that "Resistance to change" was one of the biggest barriers to rapid process change, followed closely by "Departmental siloes" and "Managers too busy firefighting"
