Laser Innovations Drive AestheticLaser Innovations Drive Aesthetic Procedures, Finds Frost & Sullivan PR Newswire LONDON, April 9, 2014 - Newer treatment options are expanding the clinical focus of cosmetic surgeries from the face to other areas of the body Aesthetic procedures, though cost-intensive, have experienced increased growth over the past decade. With patients gradually shifting from more complicated, time-consuming invasive procedures to minimally invasive and non-invasive ones, surgical lasers in particular have turned out to be the most preferred choice for aesthetic applications. New analysis from Frost & Sullivan (http://www.technicalinsights.frost.com), Technology Breakthroughs in Aesthetic Procedures, finds that advancements in laser technology have significantly raised the number of laser aesthetic procedures performed. Surgical lasers are especially well-suited for non-invasive aesthetic procedures such as hair removal and skin rejuvenation. Other advanced technologies such as transdermal focused ultrasound, monopolar radiofrequency, high intensity focused ultrasound, and cryolipolysis are growing popular. Surveys carried out by different organizations have revealed interesting trends in preferences for aesthetic procedures. For example, the United States ranks first among countries performing breast augmentations, while Asian countries such as China, Japan and South Korea rank among the top five countries performing rhinoplasties.
