It is regarded as a platform for sharing innovative ideas, engaging in discussions and strategizing to solve some of the key challenges affecting this region. This year, GIL Malaysia is being held at Traders Hotel, Puteri Harbour, Johor. This is the first time since the launch of GIL Malaysia that this event is happening out of the Malaysian capital. Hazmi Yusof, Country Head for Frost & Sullivan Malaysia believes that "Iskandar is the ideal location to discuss the topic innovation as it embodies the changing business landscape in Malaysia." He elaborated on "the critical role that Frost & Sullivan has played in developing the business environment in Iskandar, especially through the establishment of its Global Innovation Centre there." This year, the theme of 'Connected Living' will be discussed in detail throughout the congress. This will be an extension of Frost & Sullivan's recent focus on the integration of smart technology across various industries and countries.
