The MHA is a trustee-led member association comprised of community and teaching hospitals, health systems, specialty hospitals, veteran’s hospitals, and long-term care facilities located in Maryland. Volunteer leaders governing hospitals, along with their executive management and medical staff leaders, founded MHA in 1970. The Association was created as a forum for cooperation and communication among the state’s major health care providers.
